Gods Words and Our Words
Internet games such as Wordle, TV, social media, lots of things like that, some of those things are very good and they are true. But sometimes we just feel bombarded by words and in that, it could be hard to tell what is what is true, what is false and even those things that we know to be true, can be washed aside in this tide, this flood of liberal thinking, which is assailing our nation at this time. It would be so easy to become cynical and think, what’s the point? we are never going to win. But having said all of that, it is good to remember that words matter. Why? It matters because of who God is and who he created and redeemed us to be. I’m going to be looking at this message under 4 little headings, GODS WORDS AND OURS. SINFUL WORDS. THE FACT AND HOW GOD’S WORD REDEEMS. And then to close it, WHAT SHOULD OUR WORDS BE LIKE ? The Bible presents us with a God who by nature is a speaking God, right from the creation Genesis chapter one. The Lord said let there be light and there was light. God saw that the light was good. He separated the light from the darkness, and God called the Light Day and the darkness night and read through that passage, each part. God spoke and things happened in creation.
