  1. When you think of grey areas in church life, what do you think of?
  2. From a biblical point of view? What makes something a grey area rather than a clear black and white issue? Here are starters: tattoos, women in ministry, gambling, bible translations. Please add a good number of your own too.
  3. What is important about the day we set aside for worship? i.e. what must we do on that day and what should we not do?
  4. Discuss judgement.

  2. What does it mean to honour someone? What does it look like in practice?
  3. How does not being lazy fit in with loving one another?
  4. Look at each element in verse 12 and talk about what happens if we fail in them? How can we help each other in ‘failing to fail’?
  5. Hospitality is often seen as something we can opt in and out of; Paul makes it clear that that’s not the case. Why is practicing hospitality important and how can we encourage one another in it?
